EMME BARTH
Emme Barth is excited to be part of the Class of 2028 as the fourth graduate of her family's North Carolina homeschool, Lakeview Christian Academy. Emme is a hardworking and positive force on the softball field. Her determination, perseverance, and tenacity has long been observed and appreciated by coaches throughout her Little
League, Travel Ball, Middle School, and High School Softball experiences. Emme is a leader within her family, faith community, and on each team she plays with -- encouraging her fellow players, keeping spirits lifted during tough innings, and celebrating her teammates' big wins enthusiastically. At only 14 years old, Emme's bright smile and inspiring attitude has already made her an ambassador for the sport of softball, gaining new friends in opposing team players, coaches, and umpires everywhere she goes!
MORE FROM EMME
Ever since I stepped foot on the field for myself at 8 years old, playing on a 10U team, I was hooked. The challenge that softball presented for me to develop my skills in batting, running, fielding, and learning play awareness became one of my top hobbies. As I got older and better at softball, my parents helped me to find higher levels of competition to keep me challenged. That is how I became a founding member-player of the CoulOak Black Widows in the fall of 2023. In the spring of 2024, I joined the Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association's Stallions Middle School softball team and this spring, I was selected to play for their High School Varsity team. I also enjoy playing with local friends as part of CoulOak Little League softball each spring and fall.
As a high school freshman, I work as hard on my schoolwork as I do on the softball field even though academics does not come as easily to me as athletics. Throughout my school years I've had to work to cope with dyslexia and I am proud to be finishing my year with a 3.15 GPA. My goal is to see my GPA rise with each of my following semesters! When not working on schoolwork or on the softball field, I love volunteering to help my faith community at Hillcrest Baptist Church. I was baptized at Hillcrest in 2023, and I enjoy keeping little ones in the nursery during Sunday School and Worship and serving each summer during Vacation Bible School. I look forward to expanding my service opportunities in my sophomore year as a member of my homeschool group's student-led high school service club called Opus Deum. Although I’m not yet sure what it is that I would like to focus on studying after high school, I know that I don’t want to ever stop learning and I want to use my education to serve the Lord and others.
In my free time you can usually find me outside! I love running, biking, hiking, and rollerblading in particular. On days I can't be outside, I enjoy learning new dance moves, drawing with my older sister Ellie, or playing with my little sister Josie and little brother Teddy.
I am grateful to God for all that softball has brought to my life and thankful to all my coaches throughout the years who have helped me develop into the player and person I am today: John Maultsby, Kevin Goke, Jamie Allen, Brian Upton, Josh Tolley, Preston Foster, Brad Kirby, Brian Albin, James Moore, Marshall Gibson, Derek Miller, Shaun McCall, and last but certainly not least, my dad Danny Barth.
